This Very Special Pete Dye Issue of Florida Golf Magazine

In the summer of 2013 we visited and interviewed Pete Dye and his wife and design partner, Alice on the golf course at Gulf Stream Golf Club in Delray Beach. Pete was in the process of re-grassing and updating the course which was originally built in 1926 and designed by Donald Ross. In the interview, which was recorded on video, Pete explained for us the golf course renovation work and also answered a few questions about the newly released special edition of his autobiographical book entitled, “Bury Me In A Pot Bunker” which is available at Amazon.com.

After talking to Pete about some of his favorite Florida golf courses and recording much of his insightful commentary, we are proud to announce that Pete Dye has joined forces with Florida Golf Magazine to produce this very special “Pete Dye issue” of Florida Golf Magazine which is dedicated to promoting the release of the special new edition of his book as well as showcasing “The Golf Course Architecture of Golf Course Designer Pete Dye.”

In a gracious effort to insure the success of this issue and its related cover stories Mr. Dye also very generously agreed to write “architectural strategy related” golf course reviews about Delray Dunes Golf & Country Club in Boynton Beach,Florida, The Moorings Yacht & Country Club in Vero Beach, Florida, The Dye Preserve Golf Club in Jupiter, Florida, Old Marsh Golf Club in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida and Teeth of the Dog at Casa de Campo in the Dominican Republic. He also agreed to let us make five different videos of him reciting his insightful commentary for us to share at floridagolfmagazine.com/FGMfall2013 and on Florida Golf Magazine's youtube channel at http://www.youtube.com/user/FloridaGolfMagazine
