Recently, while cruising down Interstate 75 in route to another exciting Florida golf adventure, a number of very interesting billboards began to catch my eye. They were pointing me toward a new retail store devoted exclusively to the sale of golf shoes. Every golfer knows that you can always use another pair of golf shoes that fit comfortably and look good. So, I was on my way without delay.
          Exit 341, about ten miles south of Ocala, Florida, was only a short distance ahead. Go west on 484 about a one iron to McDonalds, slice right, down the hill, past the new Hampton Inn into the parking lot. No problem, there it was just past the golf store on the left.
          What is this? A full service golf store right next to the golf shoe store, this could be trouble! All the latest stuff from Tour Edge, Cobra, Taylor Made, Titleist, Callaway, Adams, Bag Boy, Wilson, Hippo, Nike and more, “Bargains, Close-outs, Special buys,” sounds like some really good deals to me.
          Wait a minute! I’m on my way to the golf shoe store with over 5,000 pairs to choose from. I’ve got to see this.
          OK, here we go. This is exciting. They have golf shoes and golf sandals including FootJoy, Ecco, Etonic, Nike, Adidas, Callaway, Hi-Tec, Sandbaggers, Golfstream and more. Ladies sizes run from 5 to 12, mens sizes run from 7 to 18, widths narrow through extra wide.

          Why are so many people in the back? Wow! It’s the bargain room full of all kinds of hit and miss styles, lucky sizes, and super buys starting at $ 29.99.
          The customers in here seem to be happy to have finally found a golf shoe store where they can get a brand and style in the size and width they need AND like. I know a sure thing when I see it, and you can bet that this is a store all serious golfers will want to visit every time they’re in the area.
          My credit card is getting hot, so maybe I better get out of here. I can’t believe I bought five new pairs of golf shoes!
          Maybe I have time for a quick peek at that golf store next door. They might just have something special.

          Ron told me that their other Golf America store in Leesburg will be finished with its own total renovation by mid-November and upon completion will be a really nice destination type facility.
